In 2005, nine assisted care apartments were built in downtown Hulst for Woonstichting Hulst. The apartments are divided between two “city mansions,” one on the Korte Bellingstraat and one on the corner of the Lange Bellingstraat. A small group residence with 16 PG clients is located nearby (50m), and they can receive immediate care from here. Built using low-maintenance materials such as brick and bluestone, the modest two-room assisted care apartments are reminiscent of the city residences typically found in the historic centre of Hulst. The quality of life for seniors here is unique; downtown shops and sidewalk cafes are less than 100m away.
