Residential care centre Blankershof

Location:

Oud-Gastel

Year:

2005

The centre is centrally located at the western edge of the village in a transitional zone between a residential area, sports facilities and recreational open spaces, not far from the centre of the village. The assisted living complex consists of three building volumes accessed from a central foyer. Each of the three volumes has its own orientation. Their height means that the view is one of the benefits of living in the complex. The central unit is devoted to recreation and health. The complex includes 51 accommodation units: 50 independent living accommodation units and 1 group accommodation unit with seven single rooms. The central foyer is designed so that everyone should be able to make use of it. The areas set aside for health care and administration are included as autonomous volumes.
