House De Visser

Location:

Middelburg

Year:

2006

The residence of the family De Visser lies behind the houses on the Noordweg in Middelburg. The Noordweg is a historic line of houses running from the centre of Middelburg to the countryside. Over the centuries, small businesses were built behind this line of houses. These buildings are now being cleaned up or demolished, making space available for new houses. This house was designed according to the client’s wishes in a classic rectangular basic principle, with a saddle roof, but the materialisation, detail work and interior are very clean and modern. The house is largely closed on the entrance side, but is very transparent on the side oriented towards the sun and the neighbouring nature area.
