Customs Office

Location:

Vlissingen oost

Year:

1993

A box-shaped volume of blue glazed bricks with black solid frames has been designed in an industrial area. The interior has been opened up by having the corridor continue on two floors, covered with a glass plate. The corridor wall of the widest office space consists entirely of glass. Opposite the massive office box, a frivolous steel construction is to be found, with a ridged roof suspending from columns with two yokes as roofing over of the search platforms.

This design was awarded the 1992 National Steel Prize
